We will transform the main ballroom into a tearoom replete with beautiful Parisian flair, high tea refinement, and generous amounts of inspiration for our guests.

Our special guest is Mrs. Karen Abercrombie. You may remember her as Mrs. Clara from the popular movie, “War Room”. She will share an engaging story of faith, hope, and love. Also a popular and talented musician, Mrs. Abercrombie will perform some of her recent works.

A Cause for Tea will also be opening our brand new tea shop at this event! We invite you to peruse our exclusive hand-selected products and take a piece of the elegance home with you. Our own loose-leaf tea blends, tea ware, and imports from Nicaragua will be available for purchase.

Is there a better cause for tea than Christmas?!?

Tea, sweets, savories, holiday inspiration…a cause for tea!

We invite you to enjoy a full tea menu surrounded by the elegance and joy of the holiday season on the lovely estate of Swan Manor.

Featuring a fabulous tea menu served in a setting of refinement replete with holiday revelry reminiscent of Charles Dickens, “Christmas Tea at Swan Manor” will be one of this year’s holiday favorites.

We look forward to regaling our guests with the pleasures of splendid holiday entertainment and delicious foods while sipping hot tea and celebrating the season rightly known as Christmas. Online reservations are available now.

Thank you for joining us in the month of May for a thoughtful afternoon of refinement and inspiration as a community gathered around the cause and work of New Life Nicaragua.

A Cause for Tea brought the best features of
an afternoon tea to the Charlotte Metropolitan region.
With two seatings at 11am or 3pm, our valets parked cars
as guests entered an elegantly appointed tea room
and experienced a program of highlights such as
our host, Mr. Dan Truhitte from “The Sound of Music”
and live performances by classical musicians
and Illumination Choir as they enjoyed
delicious savones, scones, & pastries
freshly prepared by our chef and served by our talented wait staff.
Sipping their choice of three flavorful and aromatic teas
guests celebrated the tremendous work occurring
on the campus of New Life Nicaragua.
Let’s celebrate new life.
